Ah....summer.....time to relax...time to refresh....time to unwind and decompress and de-stress.....and, perhaps, time to learn something new, too.....or time to think more deeply about something. Along these lines, I saw a Simple K12 webinar last week called "Upping the Ante: Mobile Learning Activities and Critical Thinking" by Susan Brooks-Young. It was all about Bloom's and SAMR and TPACK and incorporating critical thinking into digital learning projects. Susan created a whole page on her website for this webinar, so here's where you can find all the resources: http://www.sjbrooks-young.com/id544.html
Especially interesting is the infographic created by Kathy Schrock showing how the Bloom's levels relate to the SAMR model. The graphic correlates the 6 Bloom's levels to the 4 SAMR areas of Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. Click here to see/download a PDA of this graphic.

Also, don't miss the graphic correlating the levels of Bloom's with ideas on moving from teacher-created tasks to student-centered, tech-integrated learning. Click here to see this graphic.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer. If you don't have the time or the inclination to take a look at these resources now, don't worry. They'll still be here in the fall!
P.S.
Simple K12 webinars are well-worth watching. They're short--30 minutes--and lots of them are free. Click here to see the upcoming webinars.
