The 5Ds Framework for Integrating Technology in the Classroom

Just recently saw this tweet from Book Creator about how to make sure students get the most out of using

iPads and other technology in the classroom. The idea is from Francis Jim Tuscano, a 6th grade teacher, technology integrator advocate, and Book Creator Ambassador in the Philippines.

The 5Ds represent a more inclusive and less 'tech focused' way to learn. Tuscano writes, "this simple framework can help make learning with technology more meaningful, purposeful, and authentic." (Plus, he talks about how Book Creator evens out the playing field for students because of its multimodal features.)
